Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF) hosted a Community Food Sale at Mabohai Shopping Complex, successfully raising $4000 for YASKA, the foundation supporting children with cancer on Sunday, 3 November 2024.

The event, opened by BBBF Chair, Pengiran Aki bin Pengiran Hj Ibrahim and YASKA President Puan Tsara’ Nawwarah Abdullah Chen, featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of the vendor stalls from various local businesses and private individuals.

In his welcoming remarks, Pengiran Aki said, “Today marks our fourth Community Food Sale, and we are honoured to support YASKA this time. It is truly heartwarming to see the generous support from everyone here. The BBBF not only provides a network for British and Bruneian businesses but also serves as a platform for us to give back to society through events like this, aiming to make a difference in the lives of children facing significant challenges. In the past, our efforts have supported Pusat Ehsan, the Brunei National Association for the Blind, and DemensiaBrunei.”

Puan Tsara’, President of YASKA, said “We are grateful for the tremendous support from the community and the efforts of the BBBF and Mabohai Shopping Complex. The contribution will support our programmes and bring comfort to children undergoing treatment for cancer.”

The sale also included an Activity Area, where YASKA children enjoyed crafts like stone painting and bracelet making, guided by volunteers from Zakaria Omar Art Foundation and other individuals.
