Britain Brunei Business Forum holds talk on “Brunei’s Fintech Future.”

More than 60 members and guests of the Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF) attended a talk entitled “Brunei’s Fintech Future” with a keynote address by YM Awang Haji Khairuddin Bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Finance and Economy, Brunei Darussalam on Monday, 26 September 2022.

Also attending the event was His Excellency John Virgoe, British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam who kindly delivered Opening Remarks to the audience.

Mr Siva Subramaniam, Chairperson of the BBBF said in his Welcoming Address:

“The BBBF is delighted to, once again, host a thought leadership event for its members and guests touching on topics and moving business trends that are central to the way we do business in this day and age. Through our network, we are able to bring together leading figures in the private and public sector to discuss these views and share insights that will mutually benefit all sides.”

The programme saw a panel discussion made up of the following panelist speakers:

3. Edmund Teo, Vice President, Institutional Services, State Street Brunei

5. Andy Lai, Vice President, IT, Digital & Innovation, DST

The panel discussion was moderated by Allen Lai, Executive Committee Member of the BBBF and Director – ASEAN & Corporate Affairs at the UK-ASEAN Business Council.

The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, leading business people from a wide range of industries and personnel representing the finance sector.
