Britain Brunei Business Forum supports Brunei’s Chairmanship of ASEAN 2021 with a virtual event.
The Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF) held a virtual event for its members and guests on Monday, 18 October 2021 at 4 pm.
The event was presented by YB Yanty Rahman, member of Brunei’s Legislative Council and also Chair of ASEAN Business Advisory Council and Chair of ASEAN Business Advisory Council, Brunei. The talk was titled “Brunei’s Chairmanship of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council 2021”.
The event started with Opening Remarks by Mr Siva Subramaniam, Chair of BBBF. His Excellency, John Virgoe, British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam and Pg Aki Ismasufian bin Pg Hj Ibrahim, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank gave special remarks to the audience on how their respective organisations support Brunei’s Chairmanship of ASEAN 2021.
YB Yanty Rahman gave an overview of ASEAN Business Advisory Council’s theme of
Recover. Stronger. Together. Sama-Sama and also shared their goals and plans under Brunei’s Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2021. Additionally, YB Yanty briefed the audience on Brunei’s Legacy project HIRED and shared details of ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2021 taking place on 25 October 2021.
About 30 members of BBBF and guests attended the event which ended with a question and answer session.
